Researchers prospectively evaluated 14 consecutive patients who underwent 23-gauge sutureless vitrectomy. All incisions were oblique (beveled or angled) tunneled incisions parallel to the limbus. Visante OCT images showed all incisions were securely closed on day one and day eight postop. American Journal of Ophthalmology, January 2009
